When I think about how AI has entered our lives in such a short time, I sometimes find it hard to believe how much has changed. It can write, analyze information, answer questions, and complete tasks within seconds.
Yet I often wonder: Can AI truly replace human thinking and judgement?
Intelligence is more than processing information.
Human experience, emotions, creativity, and wisdom also matter.
AI may become more capable, but I still cannot imagine a machine replacing the understanding we gain from actually living a life.
After having spent seven decades watching people, relationships, success, and failures, I now understand that life is rarely as simple as it first appears. I often wonder whether AI can ever possess the kind of judgement that comes from human experience.
Recently, the developments in AI have significantly increased the scale of content shared across social media platforms.
The major difference is that AI relies on digital data and math to spot patterns and do specific jobs, while humans have genuine feelings, self-awareness, and true understanding based on life experience.
AI does not actually feel or know what it is doing.

>AI can calculate, analyze, and generate within seconds, but it is often shallow, staying descriptive.
>A person can stop, think about what has happened, consider the people involved, and decide what feels right.

Ø One thing I cannot deny about AI is its speed. It can also take a large amount of information and turn it into an answer that sounds remarkably natural within seconds, which might take me hours.

Ø If AI gives me an answer, I should not automatically assume that the answer is correct. I need to think about it, question it, and consider whether it fits my circumstances.

ü I have lived through seven decades. During that time, I have seen people succeed and fail. I have made decisions that worked and others that I would handle differently today. I have learned that people are not always what they appear to be and that circumstances can change very quickly.
ü No computer gave me those lessons. Life did.
ü There are lessons I wish I had understood earlier. Unfortunately, some things become clear only after we have made the mistake ourselves. A few mistakes I made in my younger years still come to mind today.
ü Some of the most important answers I have found in my life did not come from a computer. They came after making mistakes, facing difficult situations, and learning from the consequences. Looking back, I realize that those mistakes taught me things that no textbook could have taught me.
ü I may not have all the facts, but my years of experience often help me sense what feels right in a difficult situation.
ü When I make a decision, my feelings, relationships, memories, and values often influence me as much as logic does.
ü That, to me, is human wisdom.
Final Thoughts: AI vs Human Wisdom
AI has extraordinary capabilities, but wisdom requires judgement, experience, ethics, and qualities that are uniquely human.
AI is good, fast, and efficient. There is no doubt that AI has changed the way we work. It is consistent; while a person may spend considerable time researching a topic, AI can organise information almost instantly.
For these reasons, AI is indeed a powerful tool. But being powerful does not necessarily mean being wise.
I welcome AI into my life because it can help me learn and work more efficiently. But I don’t want technology to do all my thinking for me.
AI can give me an answer. Life has taught me how to think about it.
And perhaps that is the actual difference between artificial intelligence and human wisdom.
I don’t see the future as a fight between humans and machines. I would rather see technology helping us while we continue to use our own judgment and common sense.
AI may be powerful, but I believe human qualities can never be completely replaced by technology.
